A bit off normal topic but...

A guy I worked with bought a 996 at the same time as me, and both think it's a fantastic car!! Well, in his spare time he decided to make a scale replica of another Porsche design, the Auto Union Type A. He will be displaying it at the Goodwood revival, with me as his able assistant.[:D]

Anyway, I think there is similar look to these cars. What do you think?

I can see that being much easier to park, with the added bonus of free parking in multistories (so low it can go under the barrier)

Thaks Guys. It has an engine, 4 stroke 150cc. John actually made all the components (apart from the engine), including friction dampers, suspension arms etc.

My goodness -THAT is a labour of love.....hope he gets some commissions..

-a pal of mine decided to make model scratchbuilt clinker boats as a business -for the time he took to build the first one if he covered his labour he should have been selling them at £20,000 each!![:(]

How much would I have given to have that when I was a kid!! My own Ferrari. What was it powered by? My kids want it, but all my budget is for the 911 [:D][:D]

It was powered by a Honda GX Engine. We had a long tarmac drive and a smooth grass paddock at our previous house. It was frighteningly quick and my elder daughter got to be a dab hand at opposite lock on the grass. Frightened me to death! I sold the car to the new house owner, as the kids had outgrown it. One of the few cars I actually made money on!
