The lower corner of the screen on my PCM2 has failed as shown in the pic below.

Is this a common problem & Is there any fix for this?

Probably a new screen. Here's a DIY: http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/cayenne-955-957/192424-porsche-radio-nav-pcm-2-1-faulty-screen-replacement-tutorial-video-how.html

It's a Cayenne, and looks like it is PCM2.1, but it should be similar.

Thanks,

The ebay seller linked to that page has screens at around £170 listed as : TFT DISPLAY LCD PORSCHE PCM 2.0 CAYENNE

Did the Cayenne have the same PCM 2 as the 996?

I will probably keep an eye on the failed section and if it grows then replace the screen.

The overall size of the PCM2.0 unit for the Cayenne is different to the 996, but I would imagine it has the same screen size. I'm sure I have read on one of the forums about someone who had done it on a 996 using a screen from eBay. I can't seem to find it though. I'll have another hunt.

PCM in the 996/997 has a 5.8" screen, and the Cayenne has a 6.5" screen. I found this on eBay, which might be of use:
