PCGB’s Croft track day is just over a week away. If it’s dry (and that seems a big ‘if’ this year given the recent ‘summer’ weather!) we’ll be offering the usual free BBQ during the lunch break 12.30 - 1.30pm. All R3 members are welcome to join us, whether you are participating or spectating.

In order to help judge the quantities of food required please indicate via this thread whether you’ll be joining us and if you prefer a vegetarian option.

Looking forward to the day.

Hi Both,

Thanks very much for your kind offer - once again! I am not on track this year as I have an appointment in the morning. I am very much hoping to get over there afterwards though and look forward to seeing you.

Hi John,

I will definitely be there as a spectator and thank you once again for your kind offer of BBQ lunch. I will also get Mrs H to rustle something up in the tiffin department and bring it along... :)

cheers

John

John and Gillian,

Both Aaron and I will be there and would be delighted to join you.

Mine‘s medium rare with a southern style rub, buttered and lightly peppered.

Looking forward to it.

Randall

Stick me down for a non-veggie option please - happy to chuck a fiver in to the Air Ambulance like last time if others wish to do the same?>

Hi John,

Sorry but I have had to pull out of Croft due to work commitments. We simply have too much on at the minute.

Enjoy your day everybody.

Gary

I am out and about on Thursday but might pop in not to go on track but to have a look around.

Brian

Good morning. I’m out and about on Thursday but will try and pop in not to drive but to have a look around. What time does the event start and finish.

thank you

Brian

Cars on track from approx 9.30am - 5.00pm. Lunch break is 12.30 - 1.30.

Hope to see you there Brian

John

The weather forecast for Thursday continues to look rather dodgy.

I’ll post at midday on Wednesday whether or not we expect the BBQ to go ahead and then, if not, it gives time for people to sort their own food for Thursday.

Fingers still crossed for dry tarmac!

If it's too wet to fire up the barbie John at least we can have a slice of cake.

Folks can buy a coffee from the van and I'll bring some of Mrs H's tiffin

I'm sure we can find a dry spot in the garage at some point....

Many thanks Sir John and Mrs H, that's very kind.

Seeking shelter in one of the garages may well be the order of the day.

John

Garages are first come first served so if whomever gets there first can bagsie a couple then we should be ok.

I’m assuming Sir John means “other people” can buy a coffee from the van as he’ll be there with his trusty flask? [:D] (Actually - that’s not a bad idea). I have seen one of the race teams set up a drinks station table with kettle, etc. in their pit garage before.

Weather forecast now looking like Thursday might be the only dry day this week - cool, but dry!

I'll be there tomorrow on track, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the weather!

Sarah

John, Gillian,

I will be there late morning and thank you for the invitation. Looking forward to it.

John

Despite the rain today the forecast for tomorrow is much better, so we will have the BBQ during the lunch break.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at Croft.
