PCCM upgrade

I was given it by a contact I have that has access to the retail pricing - they said that up until last week the 997.... part number was showing at around £2500 inc but now it's the same unit cost as the 9x7.1 and 9x1 versions. which are £1562 inc vat - matches the post a few above saying around £1400 + vat - the install guide lists some companents that will probably add a couple of hundred to the parts cost.

That’s really helpful, thanks. I was quoted by my OPC £2700 +VAT (that’s fitted) but there was a huge caveat that they were given two prices and to be fair they’d given me the high one expecting it to be lower.
It’s still a lot of cash, but I spend a lot of time in the car and will bite the bullet at some point. Don’t forget that if an OPC supplies and fits, you can get a 15% custodian discount or 10% PCGB one if someone else is doing it.

I'd really like to hear about anybody's experience getting one of these PCCM Plus devices fitted. My 997.2 S cabrio has a Panasonic head unit fitted by the previous owner, but I really cannot get on with its touch screen menus which drive me mad.
My garage has texted me to say they can now order a unit for me, so I've decided to book-in the car in November - by which time Porsche should have discovered the bugs which are bound to be in the early units. I'm particularly interested in how people got on with installation of a reversing camera and microphone.
So what additional bits have to be ordered? (eg camera link, microphone etc) Thank you.
By the way, your £2k quote is on the high side.

Is a very low value-add thing to post. Either you know of a secret handshake to get a better price or my (and many other) dealers are lying to them about the price.

I've had 2 quotes for supply and fit the PCCM to my 997.2.
Initially both quotes, from Porsche Centre Reading and Porsche Centre Swindon were the same at £2495 fitted, inclusive.
PC Swindon then agreed a 10% PCGB discount on the unit, for a new total of £2250 fitted which suggest the unit is £2040

Design 911 list the 991.1 unit at £2211, but don't list the 997.2 unit yet - they are providing me a quote, but it look like that's the price, booking from mid October which suggests they are in stock

I have had 4 quotes from OPC for 987.2

Broadly split between £2000 ish and £2500. difference in supply only lowest being £1500 highest being £1700.

Differing discounts including pcgb and custodians being applied.

One (east London) has a unit in stock - others say back order

Portsmouth cheapest supply and fit at £2045

Those prices include the “extras” - adapter cables, replacement antenna etc.
