SInce fitting new tyres to the rear of the 996T I keep getting annoying instances of PASM chiming in. On the way back from Duxford joing the M40 from the M25 I was doing about 60 behind a people carrier on the power no tyre squeal and the rhs Pasm cut in twice. Could it be that Pasm does not like the difference in rolling dia between the new rears and the worn fronts. I never had PASM cut in before not even at Bedford. Straight after the bedford track day I changed the rears and almost since the first drive out to Goodwoods supercar Sundady I am getting this quite disconcerting phenomena. Any ideas?
 
i had this on my c4 some time ago, new rear tyres , ride home was bad news , pasm cutting in at 40mph in bends you would not usually notice, changed the fronts and all good again, have you mixed brands ? or are you like me and reckon the fronts still have wear left and that should be good ? from my experience i'm afraid its a trip back to the tyre shop and even more expense. sorry

Like you on the front tyre wear. Haven't mixed brands, in fact previously I was on Bridgestone front P Zero rear now on Bridgestone all round. There is always the off button for the PSM until the front tyres need changing. At any rate it will have to wait until I have sold my 944 Turbo cab now.
