Anyone know the part number for the little black and blue VDO valve in the vacuum line at the rear of the engine ?
Mine is broken which hopefully was the cause of my misfiring and backfiring.
Alternatively anyone got one sitting in their spares pile they wish to sell ?
Cheers All.

Hi Frenchy, I've looked through both versions of PET and can't see the part anywhere - I know the one you mean though.

Perhaps talk to your friendly OPC parts man for the number :)

Frenchy I think it might be 928 531 361 02. Listed under MG 8 SG 13 illustration 813-25 part 4 but not shown on diagram in PET.

should be 92853736102

That's the one, thanks !
I did finally suss it out on PET. I have 2 cars, an 86 Turbo which has a tee off on a large vacuum hose from the brake servo which picks this valve up and supplies vacuum whereas the later 250 car has a take off the inlet manifold, i have swapped the valves over from the 220 to the 250 and it is now running great again.
I had repaired this valve previously as the inlet nozzle had broken, good old superglue but it had finally given up causing backfires and hesitation due to the air leak.
Will be ringing Andrew or Jonathan at Porsche Kendal tomorrow.
Thanks for your help gents..............appreciated as ever [;)]
