Hi all, it seemed that quite a few people at the Gardeners Arms weren't sure about the details for the Parr Open day. As I was there this morning I had a chat with Michelle and here's some info.... (Peter, hope you don't mind me posting this)
First the blurb and then the details.
Parr is pleased to invite you to an exclusive Sussex Region open day at our new facility on 5th February 2005.
Parr was founded in 1985 and is now one of the UK's leading Porsche specialists. The core of the business is our comprehensive range of road car services, which has recently been increased by the move to our new site in Crawley. Parr can offer routine servicing, repairs, restoration and the latest performance upgrades all backed up by state of the art disgnostic and testing equipment, including a new dyno facility.
Parr is well known for its Motorsport division and has an impressive track record for success. Since 2001 Parr Motorsport has been managing the works team for Porsche Cars GB, finishing first and second in the 2001 British GTO Championship. In 2005 Parr will continue its relationship with Porsche Cars GB as the official technical support provider to the British Carrera Cup and also run the VIP car in the series. The motorsport activity allows new ideas and components to be tested under the most rigorous conditions as well as demonstrating the company's depth of engineering excellence. The race team technicians and engineers are the same personnel, who during the week, work on our customer road vehicles. The Parr team brings years of specialist experience and the highest standards to our workshop.
We look forward to showing you what Parr can do for you today and what our plans are for the future. As a Porsche enthusiast you are sure to find the Parr Open Day an interesting and fun day out.
Impressive it is too, from what I saw today. They are expecting to have about 5 areas of the business on display (including the dyno) with a technician at each to explain it and answer any questions. To make sure all visitors get a chance to see and hear what's going on, small groups will be conducted around each area. First tours start about 10:00am and last visitors should arrive by 1:00pm (the staff do have homes to go to !)
Parr are at 5 Farady Centre, Faraday Road, Crawley, West Sussex, RH10 9PX.

cheers..........Phil
