Painted Calipers

Hi All,
Have only owned the Boxster for four months but am considering getting the calipers painted by Brake Caliper Specialists in Nottingham as mine are just bare alloy.
I am a competent DIY mechanic as I have had classic MG's for 40 years but my intentions were not to personally do any work on the Boxster but to pay someone else to do the servicing etc.
But I just wondered whether removing & refitting the calipers and bleeding them through is just the same as any other brake system (or at least the ones I am used to, I have a 1971 MG B GT, 1977 MG Midget and a 1995 Mitsubishi FTO) or is there anything specific I need to know about removal, refitting & bleeding.
Brake Caliper Specialists have a 20% discount running until the end of today so its a considerable saving to get the calipers looking good.

I helped my son do this on his 2003 Boxster and we had two issues.

First one of the hex bolts had seized so we had to drill the head off and apply heat to get the remaining stud out once the calliper had been removed

Secondly the bolts tighten into soft alloy and two of the threads stripped when we were carefully torquing them up. We had to drill the holes out and fit helicoils

otherwise it was a straight forward job! If your car is reasonably new then you are less likely to have problems but I wouldn't tackle this on a 12 year old car again
 
I have no issues doing brakes my self, the issue with ABS cars is you need to bleed the system, go for a run out, trigger ABS 4 or 5 times then come back in and re-bleed the system in the right order.

OPC have a computer which triggers ABS on a ramp which you cannot do of course, hence bleeding twice.
My calipers have always come off ok.
