I had this message appearing couple of times so decided as Suggested to contact my nearest OPC, Hatfield.
After 20 minutes got through contact centre who said the earliest appointment is 27th May, however if I consider it serious I should go through AA recovery which I did.
The AA guy contact and said as he has no diagnostic tool there is no point him attending so he will send email to Hatfield and I should wait for their call, this was at 10:00 o’clock.
4:30 I decided to drive to the centre, with another car, and asked any news and was told there is no email to the service desk, however if I bring the car the will fit it amongst others and hopefully within 6-7 days so I did it today and remain hopeful as I bought this car only 8 weeks ago,
So if you are thinking of having a problem, think 6 weeks ahead.

Sounds about right for every kind of service in this country nowadays. It's just taken me all day to get through to my local doctor's surgery for an appointment!
PDK needs a service, but I assume the vehicle is still driveable - just ensure the auto handbrake works OK!
Hatfield is owned by Porsche Retail so should provide top service. But have you contacted one of the other Porsche Centres to see if they can look after you a little bit quicker? They can all carry out extended warranty work.

Regards,

Clive

Thanks Clive, could not agree more.
The car is relatively new and the first service is due in July, given the attitude/ service I got yesterday will definitely not be going back given is only 3 miles from me.
thank you

Call the dealer principal, ask for a meeting with them, the after sales manager and the service manager. Lay out the issue, and be clear in your expectations that this is not acceptable.

The aa not having diagnostic is a failure of Porsche assist and should be reported separately to Porsche GB

Don’t take no for an answer. Be inisitent, to the point of nuisance and keep at it.

After discussions you may well still be dissatisfied, so then ask for the escalation points within Porsche GB

You will be surprised how much, in the future, that OPC will make very sure that you are happy.

This approach has worked for me over the past 30 years with BMW, Ford (twice), Vauxhall, Audi and by proxy Lexus (a mates dads car)

You won’t get anywhere by simply voting with your wallet or complaining on social media (but we all have sympathy with you)

Hi all, picked the car up yesterday, the diagnostic had identified the gear selector lever as the faulty part.
It was replaced under warranty.
Thank you
