Had my bonnet carpet out for a clean which I've done many times before and just notices a jack perfectly located in the bulk head in a snug wrapped holder. Its actually badged for a 928 but must be correct as it fits asthough it grew there. Any one else got the same? One attached picture shows where it lives (centre of the pic)

Cheers Mike

Nope, but do have scissors-type one in the spare wheel. Got a warning triangle in the cover pocket you mention[;)]

But am I missing something, Mike, all I can see in your pic is the brake fluid reservoir ???

Hi Graeme,

Its hard to see but theres a recess between the brake fluid bottle and the petrol tank where the jack sits, i took the photograph with the jack out as I was intreagued to see what was inside the wrapping! I bought a scissor jack for a 928 whilst I waited for a 993 one to become available which I now have and like you I have it with the spare wheel, unbeknown to me that I had one in the bulk head all along!!!

Very snug, Mike !

Now you'll have to sell the 928 one on fleabay for more than you paid for the scissors jack and the find will be making you money [;)] Does look in very good shape though - maybe untouched ?

A few up there at present at around £40 ... one of 'em might well be yours, I guess.

Graeme,

I think I'll have the 928 and 933 replacements up on flea bay, been meaning to get the 928 one up since I got the 993 replacement about a year ago!!
Unfortunately i havent had any feed back other from you regarding any others having the jack I found the other month. My 993 was originally purchased my a Japanese man who bought it new and shipped it to Austraila so it may be standard for a non UK car!?

Yes the jack does look new and took some getting out of its cover! Bit of a result! Cant believe I had never seen it before!

Mike, my only feedback was in my first post above: "nope". In other words, don't have one there. Don't reckon many others guys will either.

But a clue maybe in your last entry - Oz. They do everything upside down / wrong way round there, don't they [;)]. Hence the 1994/5 928 models probably had a 993 jack from new (just guessing, haha).

Mine was wedged in a hollow in front of the spare tyre and wrapped up.

I don't think mine had ever been moved since built until I found it.
