OT: Private 'road' for driving lessons

Can anyone help? I bought my eldest son (14) a rally driving experience day for his birthday and would like to teach him a few basics i.e. clutch control before the day. He has driven an automatic car on a farm before but I was looking for an old aerodrome or similar in the area where he can't hit anything/anyone !

Turweston near Brackley used to fairly quiet. Anybody got any ideas ?

I don't know if all of Johnathan Palmers cicuits do them but my son James drove a Renault Clio on the Grand Prix circuit in an Early Drive event a while back. He's not 17 until Jan 2006. At least he could concentrate on the basics such as steering, clutch control, and braking. He's now chomping at the bit to drive some more.

My eldest did a First Drive at Rockingham race track for his 15th birthday. He got three hours tuition in a dual controlled Mini Cooper and because the track was empty they let him drive round that too. All for £75 which I thought was blummin good value.
