OT Impreza cambelts

Ok so not exactly Porsche but I know there are a few scooby drivers out there maybe you can shed some light.
Wife's 06 wrx is in for 50K service and cambelt change, car on 30K. Main stealers but to my knowledge there isn't a decent indie until Newbury which isn't that far but a whole lot less convenient.
Just had a call to say cambelt is off but did I want to change the 2 toothed belts - guide belts were how he phrased it - too. At 120 each!
Now the bill will be enough as it is without adding another 250 but just wondered if anyone knew what he was on about.
Presumably they don't consider it a standard part of the belt change but am I being stung for unecessary work or is this sensible while they're in there.
Any info gratefully received.

David...it is good practise to change all the belts when they are due ,as it much cheaper than a blown boxer engine

I run a Impreza P1 by the way (great driver's car..running 500bhp !! ), had it since 2002 :)

Turns out it is a couple of the rollers they wanted to replace.
They felt they were unacceptably noisy even after 5 years and 30K.
Doesn't seem much to me but as you say better than a blown engine.
