Original RS production colours ?

I saw an interesting summary of the colour / production numbers for GT3's.

It seems to me that Porsche (purchasers) used to be more adventurous.

Are there any equivalent numbers for the 964RS ?

Think these figures would be quite interesting but our leader is too busy buying race suits and drilling holes in their exhaust systems

According to" 911& cant get a thing right this issue world" lemon yellow is in fact in German leicht Gelb. I speak little german i must confess but i would swear that liecht Gelb directly translates to Light Yellow. Which got me really confused whilst i was reading the article on the 2.7 RS as to exactly what colour the car in the pictures was. Was it Lemon yellow or light yellow[:(]. Now quote me if i'm wrong but the correct translation for lemon (or citrus yellow) is Limon Gelb. Can't think why i know all this useless information but i bet it has something to do with buying the wrong colour touch up paint once[;)]
And i wont go there re the RS buyer thingy.

Not as many as 997GT3 RS in Orange, everywhere I go now I'm falling over Orange 97, must say I'm expecting the Tango man to jump out of one and Tango me....!

Not wishing to go off on a tangent but does anybody know the answer to the 'production colours' question or maybe where it could be found? I have asked this before and also tried contacting Porsche Germany but to no avail. I get the impression from them that it's a 'knowledge is power' kind of thing. Any reason why we shouldn't know?

Regards
Martin

I have details of around twenty 964RS' ?

What information do the PCGB have ?

And what information do Porsche themselves have ? Could we go through the build sheets or ?

Should we just start a thread almost like the recent GT3 register on Pistonheads and create the best summary we can fromour ocombined first hand knowledge ?

There were four at the Croft track day last week - one black and three rubystone which was unusual enough but even more unusual was that two of the rubystone's were right hand drive.

They did share one thing in common - all went like stink, especially the Strasse prepared black lhd.

I was there and took photos of most of them.

If you look at the Croft thread on Pistonheads you'll find some of my pics there.

What were you driving ?

Pastel Yellow 993 C2S with factory Turbo 'S' rear wing and front spoiler.

Yes I saw you, nice car --- but you weren't on track whilst I was cooling down --- unfortunately !!!

(I only took pictures of the pretty cars in cheerful colours, and I was the Speed Yellow GT3 MkII).

To be honest I forgot that John was to give a presentation --- and therefore rudely left beforehand (sorry!)

Since John had never seen me drive before --- he wouldn't have known.

But I am the yellow GT3 overtaking a silver car at the start on the YouTube clip on PH. My moment of fame !
