Original finish

I'm rebuilding my rear suspension can anyone tell me what the original finish would have been on the hub spindles (the part that goes through the wheel bearing) and the brake shields?

I'm guessing zinc plate and passivate??[:)]

Plates would be as you say - zinc yellow passivate. If the hub spindles are mechanical parts then they may not have been - just supplied bare.

Ken you coming to the track day at Bedford on 25th March? a few are going just to tyre kick, spectate and get the odd ride. We would love to see the car too!
