OPC Reading Service booking - can't give them my money!

I don't know why I am surprised, but I've just spent 45 minutes on hold trying to book my 992.1 Turbo in for its big 4 year service, a £2,500+ opportunity. I gave up in the end and booked in it at OPC High Wycombe.

Their service has been poor to say the least over recent years, and despite their multi million pound showroom and facilities upgrade, nothing seems to have changed regarding their attitude to customers.

Any other experiences good or bad amongst R19 members?

Hi Martin,
My recent experience with Reading over recent months has been fine, and particularly when attending the showroom in person., the reception staff are great. I did make contact with the dealer principle about 12 months ago and he was very receptive to my approach and I had the strong feeling he does care about customer service. I see the stable door is shut now but he may well appreciate the feedback, on the other hand in light of your experience, why should you have to bother.

I have always used Northway which is just outside reading and they have always been great. They will certainly answer the phone! I believe they are busy currently so finding an availability might be tricky but it's worth trying them out for a comparison.

We live nearby but never use them for the reasons you set out. Northway is a very good independent. If you want to use an OPC, try Portsmouth. They give PCGB members a 25% discount. We used them recently for our 997 GT3RS 4.0 and they were excellent. An hour's extra travelling but offset by the considerable cost saving.

I’ve used OPC Reading to service the GT3 and GT2 this year and the service on both occasions has been excellent. I’ve had a really bad service experience earlier in the year at a south coast OPC, and would never use that OPC again.
