The one-touch window function doesn't work. I am wondering whether there's anything which needs to be done to re-programme the function? The reason for asking is because after disconnecting the battery on an Audi, in order to reinstate the one-touch function, it's necessary to follow a specific procedure. Since the battery's been out of the Porsche a few times recently it occurred to me that something similar may be required. Anybody know anything about this?

Never had this working on my car so during the break for big brother i just went out and did as RH said above and there you go, works a treat.
1 touch opening and closing.

Hmmm. Don't understand (doh! moment coming). Please clarify.
 
Get in the car and close the doors. Switch on the ignition. Open the window a bit, and then close the window, but keep the 'close' button held for a few seconds.

I have also heard it said that you should open the window fully first and keep the 'open' button held for a few seconds.
 
I posted this on RennTech and received similar (but not exactly the same) directions. I've tried those but they haven't worked. Will give your suggestion a go and report back.
 
My car, the drivers side works with one-touch fine, but the passenger side the one-touch only works down and not up.

Will try this before I drive home tonight.

That' encouraging. Mine's the same. i.e. one touch up and down on driver's side, but only one touch down on passenger side. Local OPC said that it had been discontinued as a safety feature!

Mine is the same as demery4511 and pwafer.

Just tried the suggestion to reset and it hasn't done it so maybe it is a new feature. Mine is an 03 plate
 
Tried every combination but nothing works. Wondering whether it's something which can be resolved through the OBC?
 
There aren't any options in the alarm control module coding which apply to the one-touch window operation. (OBC is nothing to do with it either). However, there is an initialisation routine for new cars which prepares the alarm control module, bringing it out of the energy saving transit mode. Have you noticed any change in the operation of the interior lights? In energy saving mode they do not come on when you unlock the car with the remote. (They should do). Also, I think they go off immediately when you shut the door, rather than after a delay. If that is the case, then perhaps the OPC didn't take the unit out of transit mode. Check it out and let me know.
 
Problem solved! Everything works as it should with the remote but, using a slightly different procedure from what's been suggested already, managed to resolve the problem.

Here's the procedure:-

In car, doors closed (don't know if that's really relevant but, if it aint broke, etc.), ignition on. Slightly lower window by a few inches, then raise window to the top and - instead of holding it there for x seconds - hold it only until the regulator (?) makes a soft but audible click. Release button. Repeat for other window.

Job done, one-touch on both windows works.

Great stuff. Just bought my 996 a couple of weeks ago and assumed that this feature didn't even exist. Went through procedure above and both windows working properly now.
