Ok who got presents for their car

Soooo what did santa bring you for your P&J ? I was lucky enough to get the rest of the bits I needed for a Promax level 2 kit thanks to my lovely wife.

Nil for the car BUT my kids did buy me the limited edition (to 2011 pieces only) espresso cups from Porsche that feature images from historical racing posters - Laguna Seca 1972 and Porsche Cup 1972. Nice. []

It has been "Christmas every week" over the last year or so for my 944. She went without gifts over the holidays. No doubt the demands will start again in the new year.

Went a bit giddy and bashed the card, a nice black with grey piping fitted indoor cover from classic additions for the Turbo S, and a set of correct 951 part number 16" 7 x 8" Fuchs for the 220, which i look at as an investment, i will get my money back and a bit more i'm sure, need a clean up and probably a centre repaint but generally they are very clean...........HO HO HO !

Mine gave me a couple of presents, first the boot cable snapped - really handy for visiting the parents with a 5yo. And leaving their house I shut the passenger door & the mirror glass fell out & smashed on the pavement.

Then my mum was very worried I wouldn't be safe driving home with one mirror! And said she may have a spare one, like most semi detatched houses have rooms full of 944 door mirrors.

My mum had taken my knackered split rear seat cargo cover and had it remade in new fabric for me.

I got one last year, but have not tried it yet a, - I haven't the correct ungents and b, - rather scared about the paint removal capabilities of me with machine!

Mine's had all its Christmas and birthday presents for the next five years in advance this year, having had the full works from Daytona Coachworks, but I couldn't resist a little extra present, which is one of Alasdair's new clock screens to replace the one that failed while it was in the body shop.

When I bought what I thought was a good starter kit of the "ungents",to use your word,Mike,the contents cost me 50% more than the polisher.

The Kit comprised:
A Farecla backing disc with M16 thread to fit the polisher.
A red & an orange sponge to fit the backing disc.
1 bottle medium compound
1 bottle fine compound --made by 3M

That little lot cost over £ 93 at trade prices at a local refinishers factors.

I've used it several times now on the guards red 964,the guards red e-bay 924S & on the BMW.Apart from reading up on detailing,R18 went to a demo,so I engaged the brain (No jokes please).
