Oh No she won't start again

My nice white porche 944S cabriolet straight 6. Drove it then parked up now wont start. No power getting from the petrol pump to the engine. Cant hear the pump working. Please help me. Any info would be much appreciated. Thank you all.

 
Sounds like the DME relay, other option is to give the fuel pump a good knock in case it is stuck. The 944S is a 4 cylinder 16 valve, not sure where you got the straight 6 from? If yours is a cab then it is probably an S2 as the original S was only a coupe as far as I'm aware.

You can jumper the connections in the fuse box to diagnose a dead relay -

I will try that thank you. It was my hubby that told me it was a straight 6. Iol. He bought the car over 16 years ago. But then he bought a red merc. covertable and left the porche standing for 12 years. I started it up and it drove. Then parked it and it wont start again as said. P.S. Just spoken to my son and he said it needs an immobiliser control.unit in the passenger footwell. Thoughts ?

 
If it has been standing for 12 years you should get it checked over by a competent mechanic before driving it. A lot can happen to a car when it stands for such a long time. Fuel hoses perish in particular and could cause a fire risk.

 
My son is a top mechanic and works on the new cars for the minister's and police in london. He did check and they are fine. The only thing is he is not so hot on the older cars. Iol. I have been trying to get a manual on this car but no luck as yet. Hubby fitted it with extra big wheels and tyres but still got the originals in the shed covered up. Dont know if l have said but hubby died in 2017. So its left up to me to get this car in tip top condition again. It's only done 60,000 miles from new.

 
Let me be the first to say that you need to do the belts ASAP. Personally , if a 944 had been standing for 12 years then I wouldn’t even start it without changing the belts first. They can (and do) snap with age and then the valvetrain bashes into the pistons and a costly rebuild is in order.

but not actually tried to get them from there.

If the immobiliser contol unit is original then it was supplied by hamilton and palmer

They were able to provide spares 5 years ago - but not tried recently - if it has the 'dongle' that goes into a receptacle on the steering column, the sockets fail and H&P had spares. I know some had a pushbutton keyfob instead - But I haven't had one of those.

Hamilton palmer have now trashed and binned all the equipment for the immobilser key fobs
