Ok Porsche playmates ..... it's been a while.

Velvet Burlesque are putting on their Cupid Stunts show in Sheffield on Saturday 4th May 2024. These events are good fun and great entertainment and as Kenny once said '......it's all done in the best possible taste!'

I have provisionally reserved 12 discounted tickets @ £32.50 each so if anyone is interested and would like to come then please let me know ASAP please. Tickets have only just gone on sale but they do tend to be snapped up pretty quickly so look sharp!

Anyone old enough may just remember the Webster's Velvet Stout ads on TV from the 70's featuring a somewhat breathless young lady chasing a glass of her favourite tipple ..... it was her tone and the urgency in her voice which aroused my interest and always raised a smile ..... being a young impressionable feller in those days I often wondered whether she drank it in The Old Cock Inn in Halifax which Webster's owned and was where that infamous band of rogues The Cragg Vale Coiners were arrested.

Cheers
...... and bottoms up of course!

In those days, I seem to remember the pub she visited was the Old Cock, Welwyn, Tillet, Herts

Perhaps she had a friend there or she could have been a bit of an anorak and toured the country looking for pubs with the same name?

Or maybe she kept a few hens?

Regards.
