We have a number of events coming up in the next few weeks.
Sunday 12th November – Classics at the Mill St Catherine’s Hospice– Cars & Coffee. The event on 8th October was packed to capacity, and both car parks were full. We even had around 25 Porsches there, as well as a varied selection of Sports & Classic Cars. If you want breakfast there you need to book directly with the Mill at www.themillatstcatherinespark.co.uk
We usually book breakfast for 9.00’ish. Take away is also available.
Wednesday 15th November Monthly Meeting – Porsche Centre Bolton
We will NOT be meeting at Garstang Golf Club this night as we have been invited to Porsche Centre Bolton.
The guest speaker will be Mike Newman who holds the world record for driving a car solo at over 200 mph. Oh, and Mike is totally blind and has been since birth!!!
Also, Howard Domney from Charles Mitchell Wines, will doing a wine tasting.
To help PC Bolton with catering number please let me know ASAP if you will be attending. ( R18@Porscheclubgb.com) If we get more than those who have let me know this may result in a shortage of food, and refreshments. Arrival 18.30 and to finish at 20.30.
Hopefully all the pictures of "Ferry The Duck” will also be shown..
Saturday 25th November – Lancashire Day Drive & Lunch
Leave Porsche Centre Preston at 11.00 for a scenic drive around Lancashire to finish for lunch at 13.30 at The Redwell Inn, Arkholme, near Porsche Centre South Lakes. Please let Alan Ridehalgh know if you will be attending so he can reserve lunch places. Alan.ridehalgh1952@gmail.com
20th December - Monthly Meeting – Garstang Golf Club. Sean Conboy will be announcing the winners of the R18 photographic competition. If you want a copy of the R18 Calendar please let me know ASAP. Price is dependant on how many we order. And is currently between £7.50 and £8.75
Future events
Is there any interest in a lunch between Christmas/New Year or Mid -January? Do you want a January Monthly meeting instead? This Monthly Meeting may be in a pub, as low numbers have been attending monthly meetings of late, and it is not cost effective to pay for a room at Garstang Golf Club with such low numbers.
The 2024 Events Calendar planning well underway, and dates will be released once PCGB come back to me with dates of any National or other events.
If you have any suggestions for events or even offers to organise anything it would be would be appreciated.
