Couldn't help it. Total madness getting another when the current one is absolutely perfect. Sheer & utter indulgence despite being on the planet once & the 'you can't take it with you' etc...

I think that's a very similar spec to where mine would have been but without the TV..

Have you driven car with power steering plus? On a Cayenne this makes it handle awful. Perhaps it's different on a 991?!

Also, there are two speed limit indicators - one build into the PCM which uses sat nav to work out the speed. The other is via front mounted camera that reads signs. The latter is a cost option, the former is not.

No I've not driven anything with power steering plus. I'll check that too.

Read a road test this morning (not usually a 'Car' fan, but this issue is quite good for Porschephiles) and the all round performance of this new car looks to be absolutely fantastic. Your spec does look pretty comprehensive and should be a real stealth car in Agate with the silver decals. I'm sure some of the 997 boys will be interested to get your feedback as to comparisons with your current TTS.

Do you chaps know that the PDCC is now switchable? I.e it has an on/off button on the centre console. So you can turn it back into a car which rolls (a bit more!) in corners. Standard fit on the "S", of course, but can't see any reason to not spec it on any 991 now.
BTW, anyone looking for an early Turbo S build slot should call Exeter PC who have just had an order cancellation and have one available.[]

£140k minus what mine is now worth is a big chunk of dosh - only to lose it all again in the next 3 years. I'm very happy with what I have still. (Plus the house move is going to soak up most of the spare!) I'll stick this time around.[]

PDCC has had a mixed reception on 991s. Some traditional 911 owners say it feels less natural. Others like it. I've driven 991s with and without, and prefer it without on the road. The car hardly rolls in any event. A switch obviously gives the driver a choice.
