North/South

Hi Michael.

What can one say but thank you for your words above.

Tracy has always tried to be professional and friendly to members she's met, treating each model of Boxster with the same passion respect a member deserves from the earliest to latest versions.

Much has been said about recent Boxster changes all I will say a deputy assistant would have been more suitable if it went that route which many Boxster members have agreed on if at all.

Personally I feel we now have a wedge between likeminded Boxster members but only my humble opinion.

At present we do not know officially which areas Tracy has, still waiting on that one , but wherever you're location your still included in any of Tracy's activities advice technical ect for the Boxster Register as always.
Much appreciate for your kind eloquent post Michael.

We have enjoyed meeting Tracy and Cliff at Boxster Register events, they have always been welcoming to nationwide Boxster owners, and equally to those with other models.

Following the announcement of a change to the structure of the Boxster Register, I can see Matt has put a huge amount of effort into creating the Boxster South group, I applaud him, as I do all volunteers in PCGB.

As an R7 member, I imagined myself to be in the North, however, from the South WhatsApp group, it appears Yorkshire is now in the South, in fact nobody seems to know where they are in the Register.

Tracy and Cliff have worked tirelessly, organising events at National level for years, that they weren't involved at the highest level when this decision was made is appalling, the current confusion might have been avoided.

I have nothing against having assistants, or a team to run a large Register, that makes total sense to me as our region operates under the same principle.

What is baffling is the lack of direction or coordination from the initial announcement, to where we are today, this urgently needs resolution for the good of all Boxster owning members and the club as a whole.

Update: further to my post above, R7 is no longer considered a South region.

Would it benefit more to remove the geographical division of the Boxster Register as the imbalance will create difficulties, instead, joint Register secretaries and assistants working as a team could share the load and deputise when one or other is unavailable, holidays, other commitments etc.

Just a suggestion.

Hi Peter
I have finally received the official split details of the Boxster register and you are right Peter, R7 is assigned to the North as is R9.
I have contacted many of the regional organisers in the North and it is a general consensus that they would prefer for me to work alongside them. Therefore, I wont be creating separate regional Boxster Whats App groups. Any events that i do hold for the register, i will consult with the appropriate RO beforehand as a courtesy.
Many Thanks
Tracy

Thank you Tracy, whilst the Register split doesn't make any sense to me, your plan sounds logical, managing so many whatsapp groups would inevitably become tiresome.
We look forward to working with you and are willing to assist should the need arise.
Peter & Val, r7CoG
