Sounds like one or both of sensors to me-disconnect them both-identify them 1st (bit of tape on 1 set)--spray connectors with WD40,smear with petroleum jelly-check terminals are clean put a slight set on the male ones with small pliers-wiggle the cables down to the sensors a little, replace & try again.Clarkes Garage gives you resistance values if you have a multimeter.generally this will get you going again until next time.
Seems that the cables break down with the heat ,etc but this worked for me for many months until I changed both sensors(a pig of a job if they won't come out because of growth of the aluminium canned sensors, coupled with the resistance of the sealing "O" rings.

This is a very good Youtube video on how to test the sensor resistance.
I had similar symptoms when my crank sensors went faulty.

Would just uncouple and reconnect them 1st - it is often just the connectors that can be seen at the back of the head that are the problem - they do get hot there.
You can check whether it is a sensor problem without removing them - they can indeed be a swine, and it will be most annoying if it isn't the root cause of the no-start... Follow the procedure on Clarks Garage website. The lack of tacho bounce suggests that it is either the brain not getting a signal from the sensors, or the sensors being at fault...
