Noisey tappets

What the cure for noisey tappets guys, changed oil and flushed but worse than ever

Have you driven it? Can need a good 15 mins to sort - not just idling, but driving with a few revs

yip done couple hundred miles since first trip was a 85 mile drive home from garage


 
Engine flush in the old oil, and run for 15 minutes at a high idle before draining it.

Wynns do one which was (I think) recommended by PCGB.

(I appreciate this probably isn't what you want to hear if you have already changed the oil, but tappet noise is just noise and will do no harm if you leave it 'till the next oil change.)

Spending money is never what a Scotsman wants to hear, only yorkshiremen are tighter [;)][;)]

As you say its just noise, will just turn the radio up and keep the windows closed, actually the weather here is so crap the windows never get opened, actually there is a thought wonder if they still work!!![8|]
