Yes, many thanks to Andy for the arrangements. Even though the weather was poor it was good to put faces to real names to screen names to cars. Enjoyed the food at the White Horse too. As I often pass up and down that stretch of A1, I'll make a point of calling into the cafe at the edge of the lake from time to time, now I know it's there. The restaurant upstairs looks as if it has some good views when the weather's nice, too.

Really enjoyed meeting up with you guys today despite the inclement weather. I could just about keep up with the modified and newer 944 in the convoy. I would like ot add my voice to the vote of thanks to Andy for organising the day's event. Looking forward to the next one and better weather.

A thousand apologies for us not getting there. We had a puncture on the A1 just north of the A428 - flippin big shard of glass went straight through one of the rear tyres. Ended up having to trundle all the way back home on the 22 year old space saver tyre. [&:]

Ouch, not the place nor the weather to change tyres! [We had a puncture on the A1 just north of the A428
Very hard luck Jon - hope you and Jo are ok and it damaged nothing else. Look forward to seeing you next time.

Thanks fellers for the kind comments, glad you enjoyed it, pity about the weather but the company and meal all made up for it. Apologies to Graham's wife Sally for her change of main meal. I hope we can continue this annual event and will be happy to organise again (did I really just write that) Good see you all and lets met up again soon. Jon, sorry about your puncture, no day is a good day but what a dismal day for that to happen, the only thing that may brighten your day is that the pub did not charge for your meals so you have £20 towards the repair to come back!

What a fantastic event! Thanks for the organising, Andy. It was great to meet up with some familiar faces, new faces and long suffering family members. I'm massively impressed by the number of cars we got together today. Roll on the next event [
] Just a few pics from my new SLR. I'm still trying to figure it out! Peterborough services:

Happily there was no further damage other than the tyre which is looking rather worse for wear plus the danger of catching double pneumonia after the roadside soaking suffered ! Some great pictures there and really glad everyone who made it enjoyed themselves despite the deluge !
