New Year Gathering - Now 4th March, all welcome

For the last two years we have had an informal January 944 gathering (for Club members and non-members alike), both years being quite successful I would say and I am wondering if there is an appetite for another sometime early in 2012 ?

Basically its simply a tyre kicking and bonnet opening gathering followed by a slap up pub meal and a chance for folk to meet up and chat with their fellow enthusiasts/sufferers.

The last two events have been held at Rutland Water, again whether we would want a new venue this year to keep things fresh is also be a question to be asked.

Any and all thoughts/suggestions most welcome. [:)]

i'm up for it as have not driven mine for ages. Willing to open up the workshop for any members to do some ramp inspections afterwards if its over this way again.

Let's keep our annual January New Year meet at Rutland, we can always organise another one later in the year at another destination in the warmth!! Look forward to seeing you all again shivering in Jan!

Would love to come as long as we're not under two feet of snow. I was frustrated to miss last year's because my car was in the body shop not being worked on. Now it's at a different body shop and has nearly finished being worked on so I will be very pleased if I can get there. Rutland is perfect for me, being on my well-worn route between North Yorkshire and Cambridgeshire!

I'd agree with that, but let's actually do a summer one next year, the time has gone so quickly this year it seems like summer has passed us by!

I'm up for that as it was a good day last time and it sounds like a great excuse for a nice run, assuming the weather is OK and I can actually get out of Sheffield on the day!! Can I vote for a weekend other than the 25th as I am on a stag weekend as the best man?!!

You should be in Parliament :ROFLMAO: Seems like a great idea, I missed last years but the first one was great fun

I'm def up for this, could we also include a bit of a run this time as there's nothing better than seeing 20 odd 944's in convoy (weather permitting). Edd

Would be good to arrange some earlier informal meet-up points for people coming from various directions too.

Having spent a five figure sum on servicing my 944 this year, and covered less than 100 miles, it would be nice to start 2012 with a chance to actually drive it. What date are you chaps proposing?

Sounds good to me. Hopefully I'll be able to turn up in my 944. Otherwise there will be nose-heavy understeery action while I try to follow you guys in the Rover!!
