I found p6000's to be fine at the 'ring once they were warm enough, after being told they were ditchfinders by somebody who had never tried them.
They are not the greatest in terms of ultimate grip but I think the price reflects that.
In my seven years or so around 944s i've found one thing to be a constant source of agreement; P6000s last forever and have no grip whatsoever.
I did about 20K miles on the P6000s VJ wore, and they certainly never showed any sign of the lables wearing through. The car also had highly amusing handling that suited me fine for a while. It's fun to be playing "drift-god" at about 10 MPH, but I'd always consider the Falkens on my S2 for about £75 a corner to be in a different league entirely, and I'd not go back to the Pirellis again.
I had them on the front and I did get some understeer when pushing it. I am far from a drift god/racer but they weren't that bad, maybe theres more than one compound?
I might add I did change them for some Toyo T1Rs after about 2k, more grip but a bit flexy in the sidewalls.
