New S2 owner saying Hi...

ORIGINAL: Copperman05

didnt affect my insurance either which I find supprising.

I bet that is one of the oddest modifications anyone has declared to their insurance company :ROFLMAO:

Welcome on board, the car looks to be in fabulous condition and has been owned by a real enthusiast. Have fun [:)]

So are you saying that any aftermarket steering wheel will fit onto the boss I have on there already?
Edd,

Not any wheel, but probably most wheels.

As I remember, there are two fittings - Momo and Italvolanti. Most fit Momo. (The difference is the PCD of the six bolts holding the wheel to the boss - they differ by 3mm or so.) Therefore, if your current wheel is Momo, buy any other Momo wheel and it will bolt straight on. (And there is some pretty good choice out there on eBay, at silly prices.)

You may be lucky and find that the boss is drilled to accept both sizes, in which case ... well, fairly obviously any wheel will fit.

Thanks,

The wheel on my S2 is a Kahn F1 steering wheel, I'm assuming a Momo would be the same fit. Yeah, I've seen a few on ebay that look much better than the Kahn, I just want something simple and elegant. Thanks for the tips guys...

You could always remove the dog and stick a minichamps 1:43 model in it's place !! [:D][:D]

Wait a little while longer and there is the Auto Art 1/18 model that will be coming out soon in the correct colour lol

I've driven a 7 Series with a racing horse thing on the bonnet and it's very off putting because your eyes get inadvertently drawn to the horse's backside which is just not right at all really.

Has to be said tho', if the Old Boy who owned this before Edd was still driving it at 94, that's pretty impressive.

I hope I'm driving a Porsche when I'm 94. Something tells me that's unlikely ...

(Do you think he had a Grandson, or Great-Grandson? That steering wheel doesn't say '94-year-old taste' to me ... :ROFLMAO: )
