Don' t apologise, your English is better than a number of others on this site (mentioning no names !)
I assume from your department number (60), that you are in Oise, not too far north of Paris.

Thanks for your welcome [
I' ve never been at Le Mans (for the 24h), it should be great to go there in 2004.
We (French Porscher) used to meet us at the Porsche Days (SPA FRANCORCHAMPS - Belgium every year in May and NEVERS MAGNY COURS - France every year in August), we will be happy to so you there next time !
Also if you are going in France, the first sunday each month, we meet us near the " chateau de Vincennes" , (Vincennes is very close to Paris).

Just because it has no history or inspection or whatever does not mean it is a bad car, maybe the previous owners were just a bit slap dash with paperwork. On the other hand sometimes people spend ages checking everything down to the nth degree and then a psiton fails a few weeks after purchase [

Paul is right, probably on both counts. [
This months meeting is the Christmas dinner, so perhaps not the best month to come along as a new member, although there is to be a live band featuring the rekown blues guitarist Capt. Beaky, so you may still get a good laugh.
Is it too late to cancel the order for the Haynes manual? It really isn't very good at all for the 944.
Take a look instead at www.cannell.co.uk/manuals.htm where the factory workshop manual is availablle for download - for free.
Actually it isn't working now I check it - Rick did say he was having issues but it will be back soon I'm sure.
