New guy, New 944 S2!!

Hhmmm update, took the cover off completely tonight and looked at the balance belt ! Gave it a tug and it kept coming and coming, don't how long it's been like it but it's snapped!! The car has been driving fine but how much smoother will it be with the balance shafts actually operating!! In the barn now until I can find someone to change both belts and ancillaries!! [:(] Still give me time to take some shots and post them!!!
Cheers

Thanks guys, how easy is it for an ex Army mechanic who just tinkers now? Any special tools needed and should the water pump be done at the same time?
I have a quote from Brookspeed, has anyone used these guys?
Thanks again

You need tools and guidance, but a cometent fitter can tackle anything. Find guides at Clark's Garage and tools at either JMG or Arnnworx in America.

Thanks for this fella!!
Still have not managed to get some photos up yet but will do this weekend.
Update on the belts and I managed to find both sets of belts, rollers and tensioners (Conti) from Frazerpart for £213 and my local garage Motorsport Services will fit in 4 hours at £35 per hour they have done a few 994s in the past. So both belts and rollers and tensioners at under £400!!
I opted out of the water pump as it's a bit of a luxury taking off a perfectly good pump to replace it especially at £300+ pounds for the pump.
Looking forward to getting her out on the road again.
Have a great weekend all!!
Paul.
