My first post here after lurking on the forums for some time.
Currently driving a 18 month old CS, seal grey that I bought second hand from a dealership 6 months ago.
Never really been happy with the change from 3rd to 4th gear, and, following no change in the situation after the dealership changed the linkages it has again gone back to them and I have now been informed that I need a new gearbox!!
A little dismayed at this, but at least that is preferable to them stripping the current box down.
After taking the curtosy car(brand new boxter) out for a spin, I am also a little concerned about the stearing and wondered what others thought.
Overall the steering feels sharp, very similar the boxter, but there is a little (only a little) 'wobble', most marked from 60 on a straight road when I have no hands on the wheel (this I have only tried because I felt a little wobble initially). Asked dealership initially to chack the wheel balancing and it has improved but not resolved completely. Also the steering wheel doesnt quite sit 'dead centre' on a straight road - but is a fraction off to the left.
With the number of calls I have made to the dealership I am sure they must hate me, and am now wondering if the steering issue is my imagination or not.
Anyone else have similar issues, words of advice etc in this situation?
Help much appreciated
Jim
