We're been thinking of trialling a new type of mid-week event. It'll be a little Spring Wednesday evening event.

The idea would be to meet up at a venue somewhere in Barnstaple around 7 pm and then to tackle a short, interesting route of around 40 miles through the Devon lanes, finishing around 9 pm at a convivial country pub somewhere.

We want it to be a relaxed, informal affair so we can enjoy our cars and company of fellow Club members. Wednesday 17th May is provisionally proposed.

There's not been much activity for North Devon members recently, so this is particularly directed to them, but not exclusively. Wherever you live, if you fancy a run we'd be pleased to see you.

At this stage, we need to gauge potential interest, so if a mid-week foray might be up your street, please drop me an email a lancerlot@hotmail.co.uk and we'll go from there. Many thanks.

Regards,

Clive

Well done Clive with this initiative in North Devon. Put me down for the drive and hopefully the R15 owners in North Devon, (and further afield) will support your efforts which will encourage further events in the area.

Hi Clive,

Just had a look at my diary as I would have come up for it. Unfortunately I am not around as I shall be driving up to Anglesey for the PCGB track day on the Thursday.
Hopefully you will get a good turnout fingers crossed .

Not an overwhelming swell of support so far.

If this is not popular as concept, then I'm happy to drop it, in which case perhaps members could put forward alternative suggestions for an activity.

There are quite a few registered members in this neck of the woods and it seems a pity we can't find common ground for getting together and enjoying our Porsches. The more support the Club is given, the more each members gains from membership. [:)]

Regards,

Clive

We're abandoning this event due to lack of interest - so apologies to those who responded. ??

We had hoped an evening meet up with the better weather (?), a short drive and convivial finish in a country pub somewhere might have hit the right note with North Devon members, but clearly not.

If Wednesdays or the mid-week format is a problem, then please let us know. We're open to suggestions about what you'd like, but unless you take time to respond, there's not much we can do. Then nothing at all will happen and PCGB membership remains unfulfilled.

So please let us have your thoughts. [;)]

Regards,

Clive
