The car is a road legal track car with quite a few modifications taking it from a 1986 2.5L NA to a 2.8L turbo. It has the usual track day car mods inc Race seats, harness, roll cage, bigger brakes etc. Having done a few track days in my 964 I decided to buy a more focused track car rather than spend an equal amount modifying the 964 for track use.
I will be at Bedford on the 27th so will meet some of you then but I have little doubt I'll have some questions.
Top of my list are:
1. Checking the oil - engine running or not? Oil hot or cold?
2. Is there a handbook online I can download since mine did not come with one
3. How do you reset the trip meter to see how few miles per tank you are doing? I cannot believe I am asking this but for the life of me I can't see a button to reset.
I look forward to meeting a number of you at Bedford and others in due course I'm sure.
Cheers
Mick

Cheers Andrew. But how...? Apparently I can only upload one image per post and it appears as a pathetic thumbnail. Training need! MickORIGINAL: andrew_churcher![]()

Based on the 100 road miles I've done I'd say rough at low revs and when just started and ballistic on full boost. The fact that there is no sound deadening adds to the raw feel to the car. Chassis feels very compliant on straights and given this characteristic, it is a surprise how well it 'digs in' on the corners to give a greater level of grip than the feeling on the straights might lead you to believe. Clearly track driving will give a more useful analysis... That's next weekend. The engine has only done approx 3000 miles since the full rebuild and runs on Motec engine management (hence the low speed roughness?) so I imagine things may change a bit with a few more miles and a service. Went to Bedford on the way home to reassure myself it would pass... 96db so only induction noise can spoil my fun! Cheers MickORIGINAL: andrew_churcher So how is it to drive mate? Engine from redtek sounds fruity indeed
