Hi all,
bought a 912 a few months ago totally on an impulse purchase... whoops
Anyway, here it is.
Got a few improvements to make to it right now but it's a good 'un I think. I'm enjoying it anyway!
It was a USA import and then a full restoration. I have a folder with it that would pretty much fill a filing cabinet! It also came with a really sweet rebuilt motor fitted which runs perfect, sounds magnificent, and pulls very hard, but I also have the original matching numbers motor for it which is currently undergoing a full rebuild by Mike Bainbridge Engineering and will be put back in the car where it belongs when finished shortly.
Got hold of some staggered 16" magnesium Fuch alloys for it and had them mirror polished. Just need to do the black paintwork on the inset parts now:
I have fitted the smaller 3 spoke Moto-Lita wheel to it with wood rim to match the gearknob, but have kept the original wheel.
Have also fitted a modern MP3 player/radio in the dash but it's a clever one designed to look almost the same as the original and fit the same holes in the dash.
I also have some period-look matt silver PORSCHE side stripes/decals to go on to finish it off.
