hello all...i need to take my dashboard out but have no idea how...help me please....i can use a spanner,screwdriver,persuader..

If its a square dash, there is a great "how to" on 924.org.

Make sure you label all the wiring as it comes apart.

There is no problem,I want to recover the dash board and possibly The middle consul as it is 26 years old and climate damaged..cracks and stuff,so I've got some sticky back plastic and a heat gun to have a go at it myself..worse case scenario is I order another from the Porsche breakers in Liverpool..I just haven't given it a good look at yet..will be starting tomorrow.will post pics of before and after when its done....pile off poo or not ha ha...

how can one jpeg image be larger than the other if its the same pic just taken the next day haha,,,not to good with this sort of thing..gggrrrrrrr.

www.photobucket.com, upload then highlight the image code that begins with when you get here paste it by pressing ctrl and v, then iirc you have to change the img from upper to lower case then it will work.

James :)

hello guys.,,,just worked out how to put a pic in a folder and upload that haha...well thats what the dash looks like now...its not the best in the world but it looks better than before,,there is no way on gods earth that anyone in the world could put sticky back (carbon fibre look a likey )plastic on in one piece...not when its still in the car anyway haha...painted the vents and middle vent thing that had what was i presume a 26 year old air freshener in it haha...so,,its done now,,,,in a slightly better world ide have been able to afford a new one but hey,,,,i had fun doing it....and the new air freshener i put in smells great...

will post the final pic tomorrow as i am an idiot and posted the second one, where the vents are missing,,,and it wont let me post another,,,sorry

Host the pics on a site like Photobucket and you can include as many as you want, and they come out proper size as well. [:)]

i will be ordering some more sticky stuff to have another go at the bit beside the steering wheel which i had to cut into shape but think i can do better but didnt have any more...and the air bubbles on the dash arent....a previous owner desided to screw a phone holder onto the dash...it left holes...i may go over them as well...but its not a bad effort for a first go me thinks haha

Looks pretty good from the photos, certainly an improvement on a cracked one.

My old '83 car was going need something like that but I didn't get round to it.

Thanks for posting.
