Need help fixing a fueling problem

Circa 280bhp at only 1 bar (15 psi) is not a bad result when you look at all the other cars at 15psi on Ricks spreadsheet (boost and bhp is at the extreme RH of the bottom spreadsheet)

There are a couple of 15psi cars at 300bhp and with a perfect fresh rebuild I suspect you would be in this area, but not much higher so it all depends how much power you want compared to a few £1000 for a rebuild

i think the hp is only going one way though as it used a litre of oil on the 4hours it was on the dyno and it uses about a litre every 300 miles. i am going to but a rebreathing chamber on it to reduce the creank case pressure but a compression test showed 150psi in 2 pots and 100psi in the others. i have had all the head rebuild only in the last few thousand miles so this is why we are suspecting worn bores. is there someone on this forum you would recommend if i do go down the rebuild route?

Ah, I see what you mean then, it does sound like rebuild time - hopefully just worn rings.

For 944 engines I'd say SimonP on this forum for the South, EMC in Birmingham for Midlands and Hartech at Bolton for the North West

Do you think I should just replace the rings and big ends or should I go for it and take out the engine replacing oil pumps and main bearing etc along the way? Can't decide as rings is a much cheaper option!

dont think we really inspected them that well other than look down and see if the pistons felt tight which they were. dont know is the answer. has anyone heard of a rebuilt block for sale that i can trade mine in for?
