Hi all. Just thought I'd post an introduction thread and a couple of pics of my car.

I was referred here by Richard (wolfie 308) after buying a pair of his clear rear lenses .

White 91 Turbo. Mildly modified with a Lindsey boost enhancer, 3 bar FPR, Bailey recirculating valve and chips by Promax.

Recently fitted the splitter from Promax/Monkfish but these pics are about 2 years old. Literally the day after I got it.

I've got the car booked in for a re-spray end of March so now pics will be posted as soon as that's done. 968 mirrors and just all round better looking paint!

Most recent work I've done was replace the clutch master and slave cyls.

Looks like a great community here. No doubt I'll be posting lot's regarding further tuning upgrades.

Cheers

Russ

Hi Russ, told you it'd be worth dropping in [;)]

Look forward to latest pics after respray with the clear front and rears and the 968 mirrors

968 mirrors do look nice, as do 968 door handles. You might be tempted to change back to the original mirrors after a while though, because visibility is compromised.

Beautiful car with a nice colour combination and tasteful modifications. An excellent example and another addition to the boosty boys:) we'll soon have the S2 crew out numbered[;)] welcome.

p.s. I'd be interested in seeing, hearing your thoughts on the re-spray when it's done. If you don't mind me asking how much were you quoted? I'm very soon to do mine and fancy shopping it about a bit looking for the best quality for not too silly money.

Is that the car Andy S sold recently?

Hi David,

It's not the car I sold (now in Cheshire). Pictures of my last car are still on the website (in my profile). I'm now toying with the idea of another (Turbo).

Nice looking car though.

Regards,
Andrew

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone[:)]

To answer a few questions.

MarkK: Yes indeed! I'm thinking of the Tial 38 (seen a few floating around on Ebay for £250ish) and MBC. I'm just not sure on the chipping side of things. I know it has a promax chip fitted. But I'm unsure of how much the intended mods will affect the state of tune. Whether this chip will cope with the boost. I really only know the basics of tuning so expect a thread on this anytime soon!

DavidL: Nope. I've had this car since early 2008. Picked it up from Sussex.

Diver944: As far as I'm aware it's the standard system that's on the car. I had a black 91 turbo shortly before this that got wrote off and the tailpipe looked the same. I'm thinking about the stainless system that essential styling does. Thats the de-cat pipe and rear box and pipe for around £600ish

DivineE: Well the chap who's going to do my re-spray has done a couple of cars for me in the past. I had an old 1980 spitfire that me and my dad restored and he sprayed it in Peugeot Rouge Lucifer (a pearl red) and it looked gorgeous.

He's quoted me £800 for 2k paint. Or a grand for base coat and then clear coat so I need to think about it a while. I'll be semi stripping the car before hand so light covers, header panel, mirrors, rear bumper, rear spoiler, rear diffuser, light clusters and indicators will be coming off. I would take off the front bumper but need to keep it driveable to get it there!

Again, cheers for the welcome everyone!
