I think we should leave the pair of them alone together for a while [;)]

Leave my mate Paul alone - we stick together us Admins!!!! [;)]

We can wield some gremlins if you don't!!!!! [:D]

Ah yes... those fail to go round corners in an even more humorous way than the standard ones...

Paul has a "thing" about shootingbrakes and these Jags in particular IIRC - I can just see him parked up at some pheasant shoot with his green wellies and barbour jacket in the boot along with his dogs [;)]

I like those but I'd rather the 456 estate they made for the arabs.
Anyay its official (according to Country Life) you need a classic rangie to go shooting.

Dreamt of buying the new one on sale at a London motor show many years ago (and still kicking myself for not doing it - £35k, twice the price of our first houseonly 9 years before!). Then used to occasionally see 2 parked side by side at the 3 Tuns pub near Heathfield - husband and wife who lived near there had one each!! Used to live just a few miles from Lynx Engineering and saw some tasty machines parked there, including the Ecurie Ecosse transporter with a C class on top!

That's a Becker head unit manual left on the back seat too "¦ reckon the car's had a bit of a hi-fi upgrade?

I want to own a proper shooting brake one day.

What would be more reliable? The XJS-based Lynx or this? [8|]

Not that Aston: that one is actually an Aston. The DB7 was the one with the XJ-S DNA in it.
That Eventer is gorgeous. If I win the lottery tonight, I'm having it.

I do like those 944 conversions even if they do have more than a passing resemblance to an Allegro estate...[&:]

So do I. A lot. If one came up for sale (even if it was only a turbo), I'd be quite tempted ...

And that Lynx Eventer is pretty lovely too!

Oli.

DP Motorsports have found a stash of the old fibreglass rear ends for these 944 conversions. They're offering to take any 944 and build to order for around 15,000 euro.

EUR15k?

Crumbs. I am sure you could do one yourself for less if you are handy with a metal roller and spray gun.

(I'd also point out that they are such a minority interest they would be almost worthless second-hand - as has been pointed out on here before.)

However, perhaps that would by my dream 944. Shooting-brake conversion at the back, large LS1 V8 conversion in the front and a big LPG cylinder in the middle. Hmmm >GoesMistyEyed< [:)]
