Mounting mismatch on new Dansk exhaust

Has anyone else who has a fitted an Dansk exhaust found that the second mounting holes did not line up, (see attached image) I am going to attach some jointing plates and spacers, but is this typical for this exhaust?

Yes,the rear ones when I fitted that on my trackday car were too near the body ,so I managed to get sufficient clearance at the torque tube by elongating the holes-if I had had the time & the inclination,I think I could have got a better fit if the centre section had been loosened as well-the "KINK" in the new pipe doesn't seem big enough.

Paul, Why not just drill new holes in the Dansk plate and bolt them through where they touch?

Incidentally I am waiting for a front box to arrive so I can refit the old rear end pipe I bought s/h for £20. I currently have no exhaust at all apart from the twin pipes from the manifold and it sounds great, shame we have to go back to a quiet car, I did think about replacing the front box with a length of pipe instead of the Audi scourced front box. Anyone done that?

Hi Robin

Yes, I could indeed drill into the stainless lugs, but I decided not to and instead add jointing plates and spacers which I hope will work just as well.
Losing the main part of the old exhaust of course made my car very noisy, but not an attractive noise!
