Good day, the mot tester found slight play in the track rod ends and the antiroll bar drop links. Euro car parts sells the track rod ends and the drop links at half porsche price. Are they the same part ? Also should I use the porsche anti roll bar bushes or use plastic ones and if so , whose?

I would fit the euro car parts stuff to be honest. Most of their stuff is OEM anyway and therefore the exact same as genuine. With regard to the bushes i would think about powerflex

Regards the Euro parts, check they are made by "Lemforder", they are the original German manufacturers.

Reminiscent of my recent thread on the 968 forum about the price of cam/balance belts and rollers for a 968, if you saw it! On the 968uk forum we even have a thread dedicated to alternatives to Porsche parts - an example, IIRC, is that the side indicator repeaters are identical to Mk1 Golf ones, which are 1/2 the price!

Are they suggesting that the play in the drop links is being caused by the ARB bushes being worn and that's why you're asking about replacing the ARB bushes rather than the drop links themselves?

My car is 1991 so whilst the mot advisory is for the drop links,I think it would be a good idea to do the bushes at the same time. A belt and braces approach.
