We had a great day on Sunday at Ramsey. The show was hosted by Jaguar Enthusiasts Club and, if there had been one, they would have taken the prize for the best display with more cars than could fit into their allocated area. We think we would have taken the runner up spot though with 4 different cars on our display. Considering Julian and Leslie were away on holiday and Ian wasn't there with his Boxster, so we were two cars down; not a bad effort. Thanks to Pete and some of the Triumph Owners Club for helping to put up the gazeebo. Thanks to Tim for bringing along his fantastic 928 and Nigel for making the effort to clean his car before bringing it to the display []. I had told him that it would still be welcome however mucky it was! Pete dragged the owner of a Boxster S in off the promenade and got him to display his car too. I apologise but his name escapes me now. He was only stopping for an hour and ended up still being there after we left. Another 928 owner introduced himself to us too. Its amazing the Porsches that are tucked away in peoples garages. Thanks to the Jaguar Club for their hospitality, which included coffee and cakes, you can't get better than that! [] Great cars, great background too.
Which is the best rear end then?
The Jag display (part of it anyway):
Some of the other great cars on display:
And the artistic one........
Lots of car talk went on and most (I think the girls read a book each, oops) seemed to enjoy the day. Must take the suntan lotion next year! If there are any other owners and cars that would like to join us next year please do. It doesn't matter what Porsche it is, or whatever condition it's in, you would be very welcome, we would like to see them all.
