PCGB, Region 13, Hereford, Worcester & Shropshire
September 2008
The Hadley Bowling Green Inn on the Last Tuesday of the Month.
Situated on Hadley Heath, near Ombersley. Post Code is WR9 0AR. This is a well- known country establishment, with a large, good car park and within easy reach and is usually well attended.
Our October meeting, saw a few stalwarts and also I was pleased to see Graham Burnett, appear after a long absence. Apparently, he and Tracey are "˜driving' four legged "˜Porsches' ( Dobermans) through the national dog shows and have already qualified for Crufts next year. German muscle is still entertaining them.
Also I was pleased to welcome Gary Pearce, a new member who although listed under R9, finds it more convenient to come along to the Bowling Green. Such are the ways of Post Codes.
Our old haunt, at the Trumpet Inn, the other side of Ledbury, is again in action, after a serious re-fit. Their food has always been good and prices still seem very reasonable. All who came to the Bowling Green agreed that this would be a change and good Sunday run out, for our New Year lunch. It will also give an opportunity for old friends and others in Hereford and Shropshire, to join us for a great get
together. Perhaps, in February. Please do let me know that you are keen to come, so I can start making arrangements.
Forthcoming Events.
December 30th May be, a noggin at The Bowling Green.
January 1st. VSCC New Year's meet at the Royal Oak, Much Marcle. Why not come along and see some "˜real' cars ?
Have a great Christmas and "˜Porches'ns of turkey.
John Lord.
