Hi All

Today's Concours at Porsche Centre Bolton went extremely well. Congratulations to all the winners.

Thanks to Phil, Fred for organising things, and to Barry Smith and Keith Hazel, together with Dan and Paul from Porsche Centre for Judging. Thanks also to Steve Webb, Dealer Principal, for his hospitality and for allowing us to use their facilities, and having staff available.

Just a reminder that the next monthly meeting is on Wednesday 21st May at Garstang Golf Club where Barry Putson will be telling us about his exploits on the Norwich Union Classic Car Rally.

See you there.

We will a so be talking about Woodvale Rally plans for 2/3rd August

David,
As there is a board meeting at the College,I can't make Wednesday's meeting, sorry.Let me know anything I need to do.

Cheers,
Colin.

Congratulations to all the winners.

Many thanks David.

Many thanks also to Fred, Phil, Barry, Keith and OPC Bolton for an event that turned out surprisingly well for me! To say that I am still over the moon is an understatement!

Jeremy will now never forgive me for not telling him that his wheel crests should point to his tyre valves!

This is true rob...I can see years of therapy ahead of me to get over that particular pearl of wisdom......[;)]

Well done anyway mate...at least we can say there is such a thing as a good 996 now ! [:D]

best also tell you that the smoke needs to be pointing upwards on your cigarette lighter too, with the cigarette horizontal. a spirit level usually does the trick...

your therapy bill could run to the price of a new engine at this rate. [:(]

My senior valeter reliably informs me that he put the cig lighter 'somewhere safe' as we used the prat nav......[:(]

I feel an alan sugar moment coming on here.....[;)]

In our 964(not the kettle type),with the sunroof open,we have to have the smoke pointing downwards because of the downdraft.[:)]

what? and you had to buy him dinner and beers too? Best not tell you that you also have to fix your clock so that when the judges look inside it it reads 9:11.

the score sheets of truth will be available on Wednesday night. Fred says he's bringing them as there were problems with the email.

Colin, no downdraft problems with the 996. We have lovely aircon - with condensers hidden in the front bumper that corrode when all the dead leaves accumulate there...

is that better or worse than the dustbin with wheels mine was last year?

the obvious solution is to blow your engine up, get it fixed at Bolton and have 2 of their staff do the judging [;)]

Don't tempt fate.In any case, only Rob has (or had ) the necessary skills to burst an engine, but it doesn't show.[:)]
