Momo steering wheel

Malcolm, I have a similar intermittent issue re horn sounding and also have the momo boss fitted, cold you tell me what adjustment was made and where it can be located?

Edd

The steering column switches can be adjusted toward/away from the steering wheel . It is an 8mm? Bolt/clamp under the switch unit. If the switches are too close,it would appear they can interfere with the horn operation. As we eventually worked out this week between us.[:)]

Basically, the unit with the indicator/wiper stalks is clamped to the steering column. Undo the clamp bolt, move switches down the shaft a little, then re-tighten clamp bolt

I see, thanks. Is this clamp accessed via the small holes in the plastic trim under the steering column or from behind dash?

It is under the switch unit, probably best to wait for Malcolm to reply as he actually worked on his, mine was used just for reference.

Hi, the clamp bolt is located underneath the column.I removed the plastic shroud from around the wiper/indicator switch and this gave enough room to get a minature socket with the long extension fitted onto the 8mm clamp bolt. Access was made from the drivers side of the switch not from underneath the dash. If you cannot get in this way then you will need to remove the bit of the dash which incorporates the ignition switch. In my case it only needed the switch to be pushed back a couple of mm and the problem was solved.
