Hi All,
great club meeting on Tuesday night at the Creg, with a few cars and people that haven't been seen for a while giving their cars a run in the sunshine. It was great to see everyone there, and to see Julian's photo's from his Le Mans trip.

On Sunday it's the Federation of Manx Historic Vehicle Clubs, Ramsey Classic Vehicle Show at Milntown. This is the one that used to be on the field on the Promenade side of Mooragh Park, but has now moved.

Our club is invited, and will have an area set aside for our cars. Any members displaying cars are asked to be there for 9.30am. There have been a good few members who have said that they will attend, so we are hoping for our biggest turnout yet. There should be a 944, a 928, Boxters and 911's, both classic and modern. We would love to see you there, even if you don't want to display your car. At these sort of events nearly all who attend are enthusiasts anyway, and most of the day can be spent talking about cars, What can be better than that? If you don't want to talk cars all day, then there are some lovely gardens to walk around.

Here is a link to the Milntown web site with the event mentioned: Milntown Show

We will be taking a picnic, suncream, waterproofs and a camera..... prepared for anything. [:D]
Hope to see you there.

It was a great first Milntown show for PCGB R30, with a great turnout of seven Porsche cars on display. We had a 1987 Carrera 2, a 944, two 928's, one of them being
a softop, a boxter, a 996 C2 and a 996 Turbo. A pretty good selection.

It was an early start and I noticed that I wasn't the only one to turn up alone. Other halves seemed to turn up, by other means, around lunchtime.
The weather was kind to us too, although the clouds came occasionally it stayed fine all day.

The Jaguar Club had a great turnout again, as did the Rolls Royce Club, and a real variety of cars made it a very interesting day.

Here's another rear mounted, air cooled beast: This Fiat 500 was described as having a 499cc 2 cylinder engine, giving a top speed of 55mph and 18bhp at 4000rpm!

Hopefully we will be back to Milntown for this event next year. It's a great location as there is a cafe in the main house and apparently the gardens are brilliant.

Thanks to Julian for organising the event, and to both Julian and Tim for sorting our allocated area out on the Saturday with the event tents and PCGB flag fencing.
Thanks to Pete for helping with the dismantling after the event (thats dismantling of tents not cars!)
Thanks to all those who turned up and brought their cars along with them. Everyone seemed to enjoy it, so hopefully we will see you on the Federation of Manx
Historic Vehicles Club annual picnic run from the Grandstand to King William's college on the 17th August.
