I went to the DVLA in Theale this morning to transfer my plate onto the turbo and when I came back spent 2 hours cleaning off the old sticky pads that had been used grrr. I had to wash the damn thing due to the huge amount of salt there is on the roads. The car did judder a bit on the way back, 5th gear 50mph and a buried the throttle it soon cleared though. No idea what that was. Oh and I have an electrical gremlin causing the electric window fuse to blow which always seems to happen as I'm about to enter a car park! Grrr
As far as Christmas goes we're all set. Duckling in the fridge, logs on the fire, presents by the tree, clean 944 in the garage *sigh*
Happy Yule All

I hope to be less involved with work and home next year and will try and get the car out to see all its brothers and sisters.
Note however its now on the drive (and my hobby cars are always garaged) while I struggle to cut, shut and weld up an exhaust (from about 4) for my sons Golf Mk1 (with a Polo engine) as he made up one (out of 4) the size of a jumbo jet engine nacelle and then wondered why plod kept tugging him and his fuel consumption went up and the power went down [
Bl**dy kids................................................I love him to bits but he makes it hard, very hard [&o]

meantime his other Mk 1 project languishes in my nice warm garage so he can finish it off over the crimbo break.
Hmmm let me guess... priority 1... Sub-woofer the size of the '44 rear wheel and tyre, gaffa taped Monster cable, to an amp that hums louder than your '44 engine...
Priority 2... steal the battery from your '44
Priority 3... weld up an exhaust the size of... etc, etc...
Priority 4... get it running...
Priority 5... fit some brakes (with discs the size of your '44s... in fact... they look kind of familiar... huh? "Where have my discs and calipers gone????!!
