Anyone know where you can get nice mats? I've looked on ebay and you can get plain black ones but i'd like a set that has the turbo script embroidered on it and maybe a splsh of colour along the seam or something.

Cheers.

Yes Scott, I've used Autostyle a couple of times for mats in my 944s and the quality is excellent for a fee of around £70 including embroidering of the 944 text and heel pads etc, definately recommend them [:D]

I brought mine from porsche shop and 2 badges i stitched the badges on they look spot on

I like the original porsche ones they have pukka fixing bits that bolt to the runners and look the biz, with club discount they are not madly expensive and make the car interior look original and genuine they have big porsche logo shaved into the carpet too[:)]

Can you remember a ball park figure for how much they cost? I am getting annoyed with my current mats getting dragged forward when the seat moves forward.

Thanks

Also looking for some better mats. Fancied some OE ones but cant seem to find em anywhere. Anybody know who to turn to?

I do like the look of the autostyle ones though..

cheers

The thing I like about the autostyle ones is that you can spec a bit of colour on them. An all-black interior needs a bit of a lift and a bit of colour on the edge of the mats might just lift the interior a bit. I'm guessing that the OEM ones come in any colour as long as it is black! Unfortunately I don't want rear mats as i'm looking to ditch the rear seats.

Including both the club discount and VAT the original mats for a 993 are £99.66 from an OPC. You get the full set (front and back) and the metal fixings and even an allen key to loosen the front seat bolts to mount the fixing!

Just bought a set. Front ones have PORSCHE script shaved into them, back ones are plain.

The price is pretty similar for 944/968 ones, i have black ones but i am pretty sure they are available in blue aswell,i can't lay my hands on a receipt for an exact price but i am sure the guy in Exeter OPC parts would do a great price on them, for me its the fixing bits that nail it as they(the mats) do not move and get stuck under the pedals a nice big metal snappy thing secures them as said above.[:)]

I got a set of plain velour fitted mats from carmats4u in black for £29.99. The quality's OK for a weekend car, and they include the retaining buttons. A tenner more gets you proper carpet, and they also do a range of colours and bindings. No logos, though, as far as I'm aware.

Thanks for this Mark, ironically within pence of a new set for my BMW that I bought 6 months ago.

In my view your better off investing in the Porsche items. I too have bought the cheaper ones only to find they need replacing after 18 months. The Porsche matts whilst not cheap are much better made, are much thicker, have attachments for a proper fit, and also have the Porsche script. You get what you pay for, the cheap matts are a false economy in my view.

where do you get the proper porsche ones from? how much? am i about to get flamed as the obvious answers are dealership and over a ton.

Exeter OPC tend to be most helpful and give 10% off for club members, yes you are looking at about £100 for black set, worth every penny IMO.

Exeter OPC just quoted me £100 inc vat and delivery (which include a bit of club discount). Several colours are available including black, marble grey, cobalt blue, brown and so on, but unfortunately not marine blue which is what my car needs. So, after-market jobs it will have to be for me.
