Here are some events coming up in the near future, some of which require pre-booking.

Sunday 10th March Cars & Coffee. The Mill at St Catherine's Hospice. If you want breakfast inside you need to pre-book. www.themillatstcatherinespark.co.uk

Wednesday 20th March – Monthly meeting – Garstang GC. Internationally famous photographer Sean Conboy, who judges our annual R18 photographic competition, will be telling us how to take better photographs. We will also have a short presentation from The Foxton Centre in Preston, who are collecting socks for the homeless. Apparently homeless people have their socks regularly stolen. We already have a large bag of socks, so if you have any to donate, please bring them along.

24th March – Unique Porsche Sunday. We have been invited, along with other Porsche Clubs, to a Porsche get together by Independent Porsche Specialist Unique Porsche. This will be at Westhoughton Cricket Club from 10.00.

Free entry is by ticket only which can be obtained at www.ticketsource.co.uk/westhoughton-cricket-club?fbclid=IwAR2l3sSHLwUwjskhnhUIgm8YqW4HgqirxcrptzSKLZ7h593aQgYftpBltnw

WOTY (Weekend of the Year)
There are still a few places available for the R18 WOTY in the Scottish Borders, 17th-19th May. It’s sure to be a great trip with many great driving roads to explore and a visit to the Jim Clark Motorsport Museum in Duns arranged. We’ll be staying at the splendid Dryburgh Abbey Hotel just outside Melrose. If you’d like more details, please call or email Geoffrey on 07403 432932 or geoffrey6@mac.com. To book, just call the hotel on 01835 822261 and quote the reference CC0517.

4th May – The Scarecrow Festival at Wray
See https://wrayscarecrows.wordpress.com

There are several days of activities for this festival and we have the opportunity to attend as a group on Saturday 4th May.

Please let me know if you would be interested in attending.

Further March Meeting Update
20th March Monthly meeting
– Unfortunately due to work commitments Sean Conboy has had to postpone his presentation “How to take better photographs” until a later date. However, Peter Bull has stepped in and will be running a quiz. In addition we will be having a short talk by a representative from Foxton Centre in Preston. One of their projects is to work with the homeless. A problem for the homeless is that their socks are often stolen. As you will have seen in previous newsletters I have been asking for members to bring along any unwanted (clean) socks to be donated. Can you help?
