For the last breakfast meet of the winter, R2 stalwarts headed north of Aberdeen to Delgatie Castle, near Turriff. After a delicious private breakfast in the castle's period dining room, self-guided tours of the castle were available. The castle dates from 1030 AD and has been in the current ownership for 650 years. Amongst the famous guests are Mary Queen of Scots who stayed there for three days in 1562. The tearoom was awarded winner of Tearoom of the Year in the Scottish Cafe & Bakery Awards 2025.
