Hi guys ,I bought a set of speedline magnesium they have been refurbished but I am not sure if they have done them well , they polished the outside wish may be a nightmare to maintain ,the ather thing is they powder coated the all center including the surface that apply on the brake hats, a few people that I have inquired said it is find and it will protect the mag agaisnt corrosion but I am not sure if the will would seat straight? also I am wonder if they have poweder coated were the rim apply to the center it woud still seat straight as well

mating faces should never be coated, they will never run true, what they can do is anodise them, or use one of the aircraft treatments to protect them, as for the outer face, I have 2 piece GT3 wheels on my 964, and they can be very difficult to look after in the winter, hence for me they are summer use only, and I have Cup 1's for winter.

hi Kevin ,this is exaclty what I was thinking "Image" wheel do a ceramic tretment wich is beter than anodise ,but the powdre coating need to go where the wheel meets the hats, I am scared of corosion but there is nothng I could think of to apply in between to seal it??

1 coat of clear nail varnish wont upset the seating of the wheels but should keep the corrosion away.
